I love to grill out! My family and I grill out on an almost daily basis during the warmer months (well… lets be honest: during the whole year). I love grilling for cookouts with friends or really just being the ‘king of the grill’. Nothing wrong with that!
I go to Lowe’s at least twice a week and this week I saw a bunch of great grills, like the Char-Broil Commercial Series Grills and it gave me an idea for a great post about my favorite burgers. You have to pick a grill that works for you. I go for one with a TRU-Infrared cooking system, because it cooks food evenly across the entire cooking surface and without flare-ups… plus it uses 30% less fuel than a regular gas grill (I think that it leaves our burgers juicier, too.)
My wife likes the grill because she says that it “looks nice” – ok then. I guess it does look pretty awesome on the back porch, thanks to the new design. I just tell her “its built for performance, like the ones in the high-end steak houses” but she says “well, I just think it looks nice.” Hey- whatever lets me get out there & grill & sear.
Here are 5 unique burgers that you won’t see everyday:
1- The Fat Doug Burger looks great!
This burger is made with ground sirloin, brisket and boneless short rib… but that’s not it. Pile it high with pastrami. Oh- don’t forget the champagne vinegar overtop of cabbage coleslaw and jalapeño slices.
2. The The Burger Bar
Ok – this might not be a “burger” per say, but it is so much better. This is what we do when we have family or friends over for dinner. A burger bar is the best way to make everyone happy. A few suggestions include sautéed mushrooms, caramelized onions (my wife’s favorite), rosemary bacon or horseradish.
3. Try out Burgers with Crispy Pepperoni, Radicchio and Red Onion Slaw
If you like pizza and you like burgers- you’ll love this one! Seriously. Take radicchio, red onion slaw, mozzarella and pepperoni and add it all to a great burger. Crunchy, colorful, fun!
4. Prosciutto Lamb Burgers by Giada
I’m not a fan of lamb, but I love the idea of wrapping prosciutto around a burger. Note how she uses tomato and basil in place of a bun on top. Pretty clever.
5. Fried Egg Red Robin Copycat Burger
This fried egg burger is one of my favorites. It is just like the burger from Red Robin (it is what we get when we go there). Something about how it makes it extra juicy, I guess. Whatever it is, its good.
So head out to Lowe’s (not like you don’t have a list for Lowe’s already, I’m sure), pick up your Char-Broil’s infrared technology grill & grill up some great burgers! You can Learn more about Char-Broil’s infrared technology here.
