This week, we took our kids to see the new Cars 3 movie and we loved it. I am teaming up with Autotrader for this sponsored post to tell you all about it! It was great to spend time as a family and to have great conversation afterwards about which character the kids liked the best.
Personalities are like cars… different in every way, but each one great in their own way! It was fun to watch the kids pick which cars they loved based on their personalities. It’s really no different than us, picking a car in “real life”. We pick the car that best suits our style and needs. Just yesterday, I was on Autotrader, the most visited third-party car-shopping site, to look at different cars for our family. I was telling Becky that we might want to get a big SUV next time, instead of a van, since our kids climb over the seats anyway.
I’m always looking at vehicles, so I just started browsing on Autotrader’s Car Match tool. Autotrader reminds us that “Every car has a personality. Find the one that fits yours at Autotrader.” Autotrader has developed a Car Match tool that will open up a whole new world of options to get you excited! Even if you’ve narrowed down your car options, but just need a little more information, Autotrader lets you compare cars & features before you make your decision.
Autotrader has also launched a television advertising campaign in collaboration with the highly anticipated Disney Pixar film, “Cars 3.” When we saw the campaign, the kids asked if we could watch the full movie. In the spirit of the film and Autotrader’s personalized search functionality, this commercial goes through their favorite characters and their unique personalities. Which one do you like the best? We each have our favorites.
So… we went to the movie and each came out with our decisions… which car would we want to be?
Allie liked Sally. She said that she was nice and funny. She laughed every time that Sally called Lightening “Stinky” instead of “stickers”
Beau liked Cruz (he cheered out loud for Cruz!). He loved the demo. derby scene!
Jack & Ethan liked Lightening McQueen. They were happy about the choice at the end when Lightening decided to keep racing!
I like The Fabulous Hudson Hornet. I have since he was introduced. I like his values and what he stands for.
Becky likes Mater. She laughs when he is in it and she said that she thinks he is sincere and a great friend to McQueen. She talked to the kids about why it’s important to not judge a book by the cover or judge a person (or car) by the way that they look. Mater doesn’t look like Lightening McQueen, but turned out to be the best friend McQueen could have.
It’s just like a car- you can’t just a car simply by it’s reputation. Don’t let a car’s reputation get in the way of a car that might be the best fit for you. Just like Mater. Cruz was the same way. Cruz’s reputation for being a trainer almost got in her way of becoming a racer. Use Autotrader’s Car Match Tool to decide which one is going to be your next car. Then head to the movies to see Disney Pixar’s Cars 3 movie. Grab your snack packs (this was a reward to the kids for doing their school work for an hour a day, during summer break, without complaining). They had popcorn, fruit snacks and an Icee in their snack-packs and they were all so excited about it! It was a treat, for sure.
Anytime with family is a fun time… make the most of these times & create some great memories!
