June 20th, is the summer solstice, the official start of the 2016 summer season. Today is the day with the most amount of sunlight all across the northern hemisphere. All over the world, people celebrate this day in different ways by cultural festivals: some by vacationing, summer eating and drinking and some by dancing around a bonfire. We sweeten our summer day with what we call “Hello Happy Moments”~ the moments of happiness that we pick every day.
You can make these (very simple) two ingredient chocolate pretzels, too. I’m sure your family will love celebrating the longest day of summer with these snacks, too.
1). Grab your ingredients- pretzels & a bag of HERSHEY’S Kisses.
Unwrap your HERSHEY’S Kisses (you could also use squares of a HERSHEY’S milk chocolate bar).
First- lay pretzels down on a baking sheet.
Next- put the HERSHEY’S kisses on top.
Now put them into the oven at 200 degrees for 4 minutes.
Take them out and let them sit for 1-2 minutes.
Next, you can either top them with a chocolate-coated candy, or you can push them just slightly with a spoon to melt them through the pretzel holes (this is what we do.)
They are so delicious and simple, (they go great with this Sugar-Free Iced Coffee recipe that we like) just what the longest day of summer should be! HERSHEY’S is on a mission to show everyone the joy in everyday moments and what better time than the longest day of the year? We try to create these “hello happy moments” every day and in everything that we do, because being happy with our family is the most important thing.
