Everyone knows that curtains are a great ways to add some color to a room or a way to keep light out. In our previous house, we had curtains on every window, but our new house has shutters, so we no longer need our curtains. We’ve given new life to them with projects around the house. Here are a few curtain
hacks we have around our home.
1. Kitchen Bench – I built a bench for our kitchen table, that opens for storage. We painted it white and then I used the curtains as a cover on top. It looks so much better than the wood and because it is a pattern, it hides the spills that happen with four kids. They are easy to clean, too. We just clean them with a steam cleaner every few weeks, or with some spot shot.
2. Ottoman– We used it to cover an ottoman and it is my wife’s favorite thing in our house.
3. Pillows– we literally just used a hot glue-gun to glue fabric onto the fronts of pillows to cover up old pillows.
4. Bench – We bought a $40 bench from Wal-mart, added some batting and put the curtain on it. It was so easy and took about 10 minutes total.
5- On the bed – My wife loves to have many pillows and throws on our bed. She wanted another splash of color, so she took a curtain and placed it on the bed, under the pillows. It gives it a kick of color to the white comforter.

That looks incredible! Great for hiding stains especially when you have kids.
