A practical, helpful book
The million-copy bestselling author wrote a new book called HOW THINGS WORK: The Inner Life of Everyday Machines. I highly recommend it. Theodore Gray shares stories, experiments & photos that display the inner workings of real-time machines. Gray’s witty, engaging text mixed with Nick Mann’s photographs are perfect for science fans and makers of all ages.
While I am excited to read this book, we also ordered this book for our eleven-year-old, because he is very interested in the way that machines work. He will be more excited than I was to read it, and I’m sure he will highlight his copy with many notes to refer back to in the future.
A new watch
A new men’s watch from a company that you trust is always a good idea for a gift. Look for one that has an alarm, a countdown timer, a stopwatch LED light, word time, etc… I also highly suggest that the watch be waterproof.
