When you have four kids, all playing sports, it can be a LONG Saturday for the siblings. Last weekend, our Saturday looked like this:
8:00 am- arrive at Lacrosse field
9:00 am – first Lacrosse game
11:00 am- Switch fields, first baseball game
1:00 pm – switch fields, second lacrosse game
2:00 pm – home
That’s a long day when you aren’t playing any sports, but you are watching instead. I think that it is so important for the kids to watch the game, or but asking them to watch multiple games and sit there for 2-5 hours is a bit of a stretch.
So- we make it fun!

I want our family to enjoy these games. I want them to be involved and I want the kids to WANT to go to each other’s games. I want them to WANT to support each other and cheer each other on.
We make it fun with a few tricks we keep up our sleeves. It’s important to remember to have fun, make it fun, and #StayPlayful
1- Fun snacks.

Fudge Covered OREO will not only bring out the kid in you (because trust me, you’ll want to eat them) but they will be an awesome treat for your kids. I mean, come on, they are now dipped in a thin layer of fudge. Who wouldn’t smile about that?!

We also picked up the Fudge Covered Nutter Butter Cookies. So good. You’ve got to try both of these. We usually give it to the them right after lunch or for a mid-morning suprise.

Trust me, your kids will not complain about hanging out at a two-hour practice or three games in a row if they know they will get an OREO covered in fudge. These little indulgences are our secret weapon. We’re not above bribing our kids. 😉 Although I do have to remind them that the serving size is 2 cookies, because if they are anything like me… they’ll want them all! 😉

OH- and right now if you are a Harris Teeter e-VIC user, you can $0.50 when you buy ONE (1) box of OREO or NUTTER BUTTER Fudge Covered (7.9 oz.) at Harris Teeter. Just visit Harris Teeter’s site between 04/01/19 – 04/30/19 to receive your coupon, and it doesn’t expire until 5/15/19.

2- Scavenger Hunt.
We made this a few years ago, but you’re welcome to download it. It’s kept our kids busy at every field we’ve gone to. I just came up with things that I would have at any sports game or practice. Just give them a crayon or pencil and let them go to town!

3- Bring Toys
I always bring a blanket and a backpack with small toys, markers
4- Riding Toys
Throw
5- Sports equipment
Baseball gloves, an extra lacrosse stick and even the game where you toss the ball and it sticks to the velcro covered glove are all fun games to take to the game. It gives the siblings something to do. Grab an extra one from home in case they find a friend to play with at the game.
