Becky and I had our first son in 2006… and I think that was the last time we slept through the night… until about a year ago. Yes, that glorious time when kids start to sleep all night long. Our fourth child (our youngest child) was born in 2012 and once she was sleeping all night, we had hit that perfect sleep-zone. Except for one thing… Becky is always freezing cold and I am always hot. Plus, since having kids, her body is always warm, so she radiates, even more, heat than the 20 blankets she uses at night to keep us warm. Thanks to BedJet for sending us a unit to try. We love it.
After Becky told her friend about how she’s always cold & I’m always hot, her friend told her about her BedJet. I think her exact words were “I’ve never slept so well in my entire life”. Becky reached out to them and they sent her a Bed Jet to try. Ok… sold! We love it! We loved it so much that we got another one so we could have one on each side of the bed. The BedJet cools you by sending a quiet stream of air into your bed. You can have it under your bed or set it near your bed, like this…
Our kids now want to hop into our bed constantly because they will think it’s awesome.

So now that we can sleep comfortably, it’s off to bed. Oh, wait, unless…
Someone’s blanket came off in the middle of the night, but instead of fixing it, they came to get us to do it.
We take a bathroom break at 2:00 am.
A child needs a bathroom break at 3:00 am.
You stayed up until 1:00 am to watch a movie. Was it good? Not really. Were you tired? Yes. Did you love the fact that no one was asking you to change the channel, turn it up or down, or had a bite of your ice cream while you watched? Yes.
Someone had a bad dream, and it’s too dark in their room to fall back asleep.
It rained. Thunderstorms will put parents to sleep but will wake kids up.
Someone wet the bed and needed their sheets changed at 5:30 am.
You are whooped from running a marathon earlier that day. Not a real one…. just the day in the life of a parent type of marathon. You know the ones: two birthday parties in one day, coaching a soccer game and a football game, family dinner with your in-laws, etc…
Someone heard a scary noise… just tell them it was just the furnace turning on.
Ok… so there’s that. Other than those little nightly happenings, sweet dreams. 🙂
