This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Master Lock for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
It’s no secret that we take a lot of trips to Hilton Head Island (we consider it more of a second home than a vacation spot).
However… this winter, we went on a Disney Cruise instead of our normal getaway to HHI. The cruise was great. I can’t think of anything that we didn’t like. The kids had a blast, too…
The only thing that worried us, was that with 12 of us (our family of 6, my brother in law’s family of 4 and my mother & father in law) going in and out of the rooms SO much, that someone would leave the key in the door or somehow leave the door open. I had thought about this beforehand (Becky will tell you that I am a detailed person, so I had it all planned out). Before we went, I picked up two locks (you can Travel Safe with Master Lock ). Master Lock is like on-the-g0 security when you use the TSA-accepted luggage lock (Master Lock 4688D and Master Lock 4680DBLK) and the portable safes like SentrySafe Portable Combination Safe.
They are a great price for the peace of mind to know that our valuables are safe. So, only Becky and I had the codes. (This one went on our luggage before we handed it off to the person checking bags) and one went in our room.
Here’s a look at what we kept inside of the water-resistant safe in our room: our apple watch, wedding bands (during the swims in the ocean), Becky’s bracelet… and I put my credit cards in there when I wasn’t using them.)
It tethers to something in the room, like the bottom bed post, so it is safe… and it has a combination, so you can’t get into it at all.
HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN YOUR SAFE WHEN ON VACATION:
1). ID
2). Jewelry
3). Social Security Cards if you brought them
4). Insurance cards
5). Medical information: Doctor’s numbers, prescriptions, etc..
6). Passports
7). Cash
8). Keys
9). Tablet, phones, etc… when not in use.
10). Credit Cards
We love to travel, but being safe is our top priority, so when we are prepared, we can do both.
