There are too many reasons to count, but here are a few of the top reasons why I love my spouse!
I have known Becky for more that 2/3 of my life, since we were 12 years old. We pretty much know everything about each other. Besides the obvious that she is absolutely the most beautiful person I know… which she is. She is a beautiful person on the outside as well as on the inside. In my eyes, she is the “whole package.”
She is always by my side no matter what.
First and foremost she is absolutely the best mother in the entire world. She loves our 4 kids with her entire being. I can remember when we were dating, age 13, she would tell me that she she wanted to be a teacher and wanted to raise a large family because she loved being around children so much. I would say that she us fulfilling her destiny. She was a teacher for a few years after college and then decided to stay at home to raise our four beautiful children. She has helped me to figure out what I really need to teach our kids, too.
She is also my best friend. I am not saying that in a “husband” sense. I honestly and truly love spending time doing things with her. Whether it is doing the simple things in life like running errands as a family or laying in bed watching TV. I love just being around her. I love telling her about my day, what we did a practice, how “Buff” I am trying to get at the gym (work in progress).
She is always the 1st person to get all of my jokes, even though all of them are funny anyways.
She is there to help wipe away any little tears from the kids’ eyes and is the first to run to their rescue. She will turn our daughter’s frown upside-down in a minute.
She is a friend to all and probably the most “likable person” you would ever meet She is willing to help out any friend or person in need or willing to watch a friend’s kids, no matter what is going on. As she says “Whats adding one more to the bunch?” I guess that is why she was voted “best personality” in high school.
She puts everyone else’s needs before hers. Still, to this day, she will get up with the kids no matter how tired she is, or how many times I try to get up myself, when they cry at night. I really do try to help in this area, but I usually just don’t hear them before she does. (So do not think that I am one with “selective hearing.” That is only if I am watching a good football game). Also, being an author and blogger and raising 4 kids means that she usually works late- into the early morning and we are always up in the morning to get the kids ready together.
She is the most calm and easy going person I know. Friends of ours always tell her “I would never guess that you have 4 kids.” She really doesn’t sweat the little things in life. This is something that I am trying to learn from her. For example, if she is a little late to something, she will say “Mic…its ok, it not the end of the world.” Whereas I was taught that being on time meant you were late, so we have to be on time for everything. I guess that is why they say opposites attrack because I am the total opposite.
She is always there to be that extra little “spark” I need to get me going when the motivation is quite not there.
She gets to meet some pretty cool people! Pretty cool in my eyes. Like Jennifer Hudson, Aaron Kaufman, and President Obama.
I will always love her and will stay true to my vows to do what ever it takes for her to always love me!
PS- do you want to see the inside of her purse? Here it is… (I call this her “mom bag”)
[…] Don’t forget to say “I Love you” and “appreciate you!” It doesn’t matter if she works or stays home with the kids- […]
